Hekmat Motahhar 9th Int’l Festival Planned

The 9th edition of Hekmat Motahhar International Festival will be held on May 1 with the presence of Ali Larijani, Iran's Majlis Speaker, at the IRIB Conference Hall in Tehran.
Talking to IQNA, Seyyed Morteza Mousawiyan, secretary of this edition of the program, said that the festival will begin with Larijani’s speech at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude with a speech to be presented by Ezzatollah Zarghami, head of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), at 12:45 p.m. local time.
The program will also be addressed by speakers from various countries such as India, Denmark, Germany, etc.
Gholamhussein Matto from Kashmir, who has studied Marty Motahhari’s thoughts and works will present a speech on “the role and status of Martyr Motahhari in the Subcontinent”.
“The status and role of Martyr Motahhari at the international level” is the title of a speech to be presented by Maryam Al-Khafaji from Denmark, a Quran expert and interpreter who also works as a preacher in European countries, Iraq and Egypt.
Another speaker of the festival will be Eir Megard Pin, from Germany who has written “Muslim Woman from Western Perspective” and is a member of Research Institute of Sociology and Linguistics in Dachsberg.
She will talk about Muslim women in view of Martyr Motahhari criticizing Western views in this respect.
Sa’eed Haidar Zeidi, translator of Martyr Motahhari’s works into Urdu language, who was martyred in Karachi, will be commemorated at the festival.
Jihad, Khatamiyyat (termination of prophethood), Seerah Nabawi, Spiritual Sayings, Tawba, Ebadat (worshipping) and Namaz (prayers) and Spiritual Freedom are some of the titles of the scholar’s books translated into Urdu language by Zeidi.
He also edited two more copies of Martyr Motahhari’s books translated in Urdu. The Pakistani intellectual was highly interested in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) thoughts.
