Khalid Abdul-Wahab Al-Mila, head of the Muslim Scholars Association of Southern Iraq, made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the basis of Iran’s unity-seeking approach is the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s insight and judiciousness.
He described the Islamic Republic of Iran as a leading country in fighting with sectarian Fitna (sedition) and underlined the role of Muslim scholars in raising awareness among people about sectarianism.
Al-Mila, who attended the World Conference of Muslim Ulama (scholars) and Islamic Awakening in Tehran last week, further said that the role of Ulama in the creation of Islamic Awakening has been an influential one.
He underscored the need for Ulama to be aware of their role and status and to avoid being exploited by others to spread Fitna.
The Iraqi cleric said the Muslim Ummah is in sensitive conditions today as the enemies are plotting to spread radicalism among Muslims.
“The spread of radicalism will have negative impacts on the Muslim Ummah,” he stressed, adding that Muslims should present the true Islam to the world.
Al-Mila also highlighted the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in developing and maintaining the Islamic Awakening and said the country’s activities in this regard are an example of verse 104 of Surah Al-e Imran “And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful”.
The World Conference of Muslim Ulama and Islamic Awakening was held in Tehran with the participation of around 700 Muslim scholars and thinkers from around the world.
