Kyrgyzstan’s Office for Muslims’ Affairs to Open Women’s Section

A women’s Section will be opened at the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Central Asia, the public relations section of the office announced that the plan was discussed at a meeting of female activists from Kyrgyzstan’s Islamic organizations with Rahmatullah Igamberdiev, Grand Mufti of the country and head of the office.
At the end of the meeting, held in Bishkek, Frontbek kyzy Jamal, a leader of the Women's Progressive Public Association "Mutakalim", was selected as head of the new section of the office.
Ms. Frontbek kyzy Jamal is one of the authors of the book "Family Issues in Islam" that has been approved for publication by the Religious Department of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
Investigation of Muslim women’s problems particularly in Islamic education and training and providing proper solutions for the problems are the main objectives of the section.
