Registration for Quran Memorization Contest Underway in Qatif
The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Charity Association in Qatif, Saudi Arabia has announced that registration for the 8th edition of its Quran memorization contest will continue until July 11.
According to Mozn news agency, imitating the styles of eminent Qaris of the world of Islam in recitation of the Holy Quran’s verses is the new category of the contest planned for participants up to 18 years of age.
Memorization of Surah Fajr to Nas for 9-year old participants is another category of the contest the first three winners of which will be awarded 600, 500 and 400 Saudi Rials respectively.
Other categories of the contest will include memorization of Surah Naba’ to Ghashiah for 12-year old participants, memorization of Juzes (parts) 28, 29 and 30 for participants of all age groups, and memorization of Surah Jum’ah, Munafiqun and A’la for adults.
The annual competition will be held on July 15 to 17.
