Al-Mustafa (AS) Int’l University’s Chancellor Visits Doshisha University
Ayatollah Alireza A’rafi, Chancellor of Al-Mustafa (AS) International University has paid a visit to Doshisha University in Japan.
The Iranian official met with the Japanese university’s officials, lecturers and students and visited various parts of the university.
Doshisha University Dodai is a prestigious private university in Kyoto, Japan, which hosts over 28000 students including a large number of foreigners and Muslim women.
Over 100000 Muslim students from various countries such as Singapore, Pakistan, Iran and Bangladesh as well as some 30000 Indonesian migrants are studying at different universities in Japan.
Officials of Doshisha University have decided to provide the opportunity for the students to be able to observe their religious obligations.
A number of prayer rooms have been opened at educational and official buildings of Doshisha University aiming to meet the religious needs of the students.
