Secretary general of Hezbollah resistance movement plans to deliver a speech this afternoon, May 25, on anniversary of Southern Lebanon’s liberation.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech will be delivered at a celebration in Martyr Mughniyeh city in Biqaa Valley to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the liberation of Lebanon’s southern regions from Zionist occupation.
On May 25, 2000, Zionist forces withdrew from southern areas of Lebanon due to heroic resistance of Hezbollah Islamic resistance movement.
These areas had been under Zionist occupation for about 22 years.
Former Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Miqati declared May 25 as a national holiday.
