In his second sermon at the University of Tehran’s Campus on May 31, Hojat-ol-Islam Kazem Sediqi reminded that June 4 is the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) demise, and said that relying on God’s infinite power, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran humiliated great powers and invalidated the myth of the invincibility of superpowers.
“This fighting with the arrogant powers was among the characteristics of Imam Khomeini (RA) that teaches us to stand up against bullying powers.”
He said Imam Khomeini (RA) had faith in the Iranian people and the people have shown in the past 34 years that they are among God’s good servants.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sediqi said Imam Khomeini (RA) presented the true Islam that has plans and management and has come to liberate humanity.
Elsewhere in his sermon, Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader pointed to the upcoming elections in the country and said participation in the elections is an indication of faithfulness to Imam Khomeini (RA) and the blood of martyrs and implementing the command of Vali-ye Faqih (supreme jurist).
Iranians will go to the polls in the nation’s 11th presidential election on Friday, June 14.
He said massive turnout in the polls will be the beginning of new victories for the Iranian nations, adding that the secret to the success of the Iranian nation is to deny the enemies any opportunities to exploit.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sediqi also pointed to the recent wave of bombings in Iraq and said such attacks demonstrate that the enemies have failed in reaching their objectives and that is why they are resorting to such actions.
