Ayatollah Qassem Warns against Sectarian Sedition
Bahrain’s Shia Leader Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem in his Friday prayers sermon warned against spread of sectarian sedition in the Muslim Ummah.
Addressing worshipers on Friday, May 31, in Manama’s Imam Sadeq (AS) Mosque, he said everyone must condemn attacks by Shi’ites against Sunnis or Sunnis against Shi’ites.
He said those who fan sectarian or tribal conflicts in the Muslims world are insulting Islam and the entire Muslim Ummah.
The Bahraini cleric added that everyone who seeks Muslim unity and respect for humanity should strive to put an end to sectarian sedition.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassem referred to the situation in Bahrain and criticized the regime’s security forces for trying to silence the nation’s protests.
He underscored that such measures will not resolve Bahrain’s crisis but only causes it to last longer.
