The ceremony was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Moscow on the eve of the 24th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA), the public relations department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization reported.
A number of the people of culture and literature took part in the ceremony on Friday, May 31.
Presenting a paper titled “Imam Khomeini (RA) in Three Positions” at the program, Iranian Cultural Attaché Abuzar Ebrahimi-Torkaman described Imam Khomeini (RA) as a unique character in the history of Islam in the three fields of Fiqh (jurisprudence, philosophy, and politics.
He also pointed to the Russian translation of the interpretation of Surah Al-Hamd and said it has won the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Book of the Year Award.
Mr. Ebrahimi-Torkaman praised the book’s translator Mr. Edrisov for his efforts to introduce the precious work to the Russian society.
Prominent Russian Islamologist Tofiq Ebrahim also addressed the ceremony, regarding Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Interpretation of Surah Al-Hamd as a very good work in introducing the thoughts and ideas of philosophers and thinkers like Avicenna, Sohrevardi, and Ibn Arabi.
He said Imam Khomeini (RA) in this book has very well described three main currents of thought in the Muslim world: philosophy, mysticism, and Fiqh.
A number of other Russian figures including Genadi Avdiyev, the last cultural attaché of the USSR in Iran, and Vladimir Liyakishev manager of the publication that has published the book, also gave speeches at the program.
