Mab’ath Celebrated in Imam Ali (AS) Mausoleum

Shia Muslims on Friday celebrated the Eid of Mab’ath (call to prophethood) in the holy mausoleum of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf.

Thousands of Shi’ites from different parts of Iraq as well as other countries gathered in the holy shrine to celebrate the auspicious occasion, Buratha news agency reported.
Given the sensitive situation in Iraq, special security measures were adopted in the city and security forces were deployed in the city entrances to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
The programs at the holy mausoleum of Imam Ali (AS) included Quran recitation and supplications.
