According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs of the republic said the competition was organized by M. Sultan Awa Islamic School in cooperation with the religious office and the Fund for Supporting Culture, Sciences and Islamic Education and Training in Russia.
The office announced that it was the 10th edition of the contest held for some 300 Muslim children and teenagers from various parts of the republic.
The participants competed on recitation and Tarteel reading of the verses of the Holy Quran's 30th Juz (part).
Winners of the competition were Karim Rezayev, Zeynab Tareqi and Shamseddin Taherov. They came first respectively in the age groups of under 7, 7 to 12 and 12 to 16 years.
