Russian language programs about Islam are now broadcast on Bashkir satellite television.
The first program was shown on June 6, Bashinform news agency reports.
The TV program "Al-Fatiha", consists of the headings: "The Legacy of Islam" - the norms of the religion, "Life in Islam" - reveals the issues with which we face every day, "Islam and Society" - discussion of the everyday practical issues.
“Given the popularity of this theme, the need for this program is quite obvious. We would like to hear comments from our viewers in the future,"- head of the project Salavat Khamidullin said.
