Five Mosques to Be Opened in Kazan
Five new mosques will be opened in Kazan this year. The official opening ceremony of the mosque "Yardem" and the Education and Rehabilitation Center for the blind will be held in July.
Imam-muhtasib of Kazan Mansur Hazrat Jalaletdinov announced it during the recent meeting of imams in the Marjani mosque.
The event was attended by about 40 imams. They discussed operational issues concerning the revival of spiritual and moral foundations in society and the organization of summer camps in mosques during summer holidays, the press service of the Tatarstani Myftiyat reports.
At the meeting it was also decided to equip all of the mosques with CCTV cameras because of Universiade Student Games 2013.
