Speaking at a press conference on Monday, June 10, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Ferdosipour said 500 papers are expected to be sent to the secretariat by the time the deadline is over.
He noted that the main theme of the papers and the congress is ‘man and the society’.
At least 16 top papers will be selected as top papers and 70 papers will be presented at the congress, Mr. Ferdosipour stated.
He said a number of special guests will attend the international Quranic event including Professor Hassanain Rajabali Fariq from Tanzania and Professor Irfan Iqbal from Pakistan.
According to the scholar, preparatory sessions of the congress have been held in the cities of Mashhad and Bojnourd and more sessions are planned in Mashhad.
The International Congress of the Holy Quran will be organized in Mashhad in November by the city’s Islamic Azad University.
