Muslim Youth Int’l Festival Underway in Tatarstan

The 7th international festival of Muslim youth has been underway since June 10 in Kazan, Tatarstan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, Tatarstan’s Religious Office announced that the festival aims at strengthening unity among Muslim youth all over the world and promoting cooperation among them to solve the problems of the Islamic society.
The international program has been organized by the religious office in cooperation with Ministry of the Youths Affairs, Sport and Tourism, National and Cultural Federation and the Ideal Youth Center.
It is sponsored by the Religious Section of the country’s Presidential Office.
The festival includes a forum on important issues that Muslim youth in Russia deal with, as well as speeches, contests, workshops on Islamic teachings, meeting with religious scholars and intellectuals, screening of Islamic films and visiting historical and religious places in Tatarstan.
Over 150 Muslim youth from 20 parts of the country have participated at the forum which will continue until June 16.
