Russia Hosts 4th Int'l Halal Expo
The International Halal Expo was opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran and a welcome speech from the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council, as well as greetings from other VIP guests.
The exhibition attracts many international visitors and guests, diplomats from Arab and Muslim countries, as well as Russian politicians. It is the biggest annual event of its kind in Russia that brings together more than 140 Russian and foreign companies.
This year there are twenty foreign delegations representing their countries, including Malaysia, China, Germany and the UK. Visitors get a chance to try and buy Halal food. The event is growing in popularity with people of all faiths.
The exhibition will run for the next four days and its program includes a day of Islamic culture during which visitors can find out about new trends in Muslim fashion. They will also be able to learn about Islamic arts, and find out more about Islam, its traditions and rituals.
