“Imam Hussein (AS)” Int’l Forum Begins in Pakistan

“Imam Hussein (AS)” international forum began on June 15 by Minhaj-ul-Hussein (AS) Institute in Lahore, Pakistan.
According to Buratha website, the two-day program is being held in Urdu, English and Arabic with the participation of scholars and intellectuals as well as cultural, political and academic figures from countries such as India, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq and Kuwait.
Great Encyclopedia of Imam Hussein (AS) being compiled in London by Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Sadeq Karbasi, Iraqi jurist and researcher, will be introduced at the international event.
Al-Husseini Research Center in London which has published some of the volumes of the encyclopedia has also been invited to attend the program. A number of scholars including Sheikh Fazel Al-Khatib, Sheikh Hashem Al-Ghadiri, Walid Al-Bayati, Omar Alay Baik and Nazir Al-Khazraji will represent the center at the forum.
The encyclopedia will be compiled in 750 volumes, 80 volumes of which have been published so far in 60 chapters on various fields of science.
Allameh Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, supervisor of the forum stressed that the presence of representatives of various countries and religions in such programs shows the importance of the Husseini movement in unification of different views and directing them to benefit all human beings.
