International Quran Competition Held at Bhopal

The ninth International Qiraat-e-Quran was held till wee hours yesterday at the local historic Iqbal Maidan in Bhopal in which 12 'Qaris' from five foreign countries and India recited the Quran.
The Qiraat-e-Quran was organized by Anjuman Zeenatul Quran, Bhopal, run by local MLA Syed Arif Aqueel.
Qaris from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Bangladesh and India took part in the program.
Egyptian Abdul Wahab was adjudged as best Qari while Iranian Mohammad Ameen Asadi, Sheikh Hussain from Iraq and Aftab Ahmad from Deoband, India, were adjudged second, third and fourth respectively.
