Quranic Session on Sha’baniyyah Eids Held in Kabul
On the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS) on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of Sha’ban, a Quranic session was held in Kabul, Afghanistan.
According to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the program was organized by Jami’at-ol-Quran of the city and Quranic Supreme Council of Afghanistan.
Officials of cultural and Quranic centers of the country, students of the centers and their parents and representative of Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in Afghanistan attended the program.
From among 70 participants at a Quranic contest held in the session, 10 top ones were selected to compete in the final stage of the contest.
Choral songs were performed as another part of the program and some of intellectuals presented speeches on the auspicious occasions.
Addressing the program, head of the council talked about Velayat and leadership in view of Islam and described the character of Hazrat Abbas (AS) as a true follower of Velayat.
Head of the Jami’at-ol-Quran also presented a speech at the session and noted that some 80 male and female participants at Quranic teacher training courses would be awarded certificates.
Also speaking at the program, the representative of the source of emulation regarded the Quranic Supreme Council of Afghanistan as an influential organization in spiritual affairs in this country.
