Quran Manuscripts Stolen from Mosque in Yemen

Security forces in Yemen’s Umran province said 100 old manuscript copies of the Quran have been stolen from a mosque in the province.
They said unidentified individuals in the past two days entered the Quba Ibn Alp-Hadi Mosque in the city of Thala, north of the capital Sana’a, and took away 100 Quran manuscripts, Sadi Al-Balad website reported.
The region’s police have started an investigation into the robbery trying to identify and arrest those behind it.
There are many old manuscript copies of the Holy Book held in Yemen without proper protection.
