Speaking to IQNA, Mohammad Bonyadi said there has been rising interest among students and families for signing up in Quranic schools this year.
He said there are 1300 Quranic schools in the country and those wishing to study in these schools need to have certain qualifications.
According to Mr. Bonyadi, those who want to study in Quran schools ought to have special Quranic talents.
He also said that teachers, managers and staff who serve at Quranci schools should be among the best and should be acquainted with the Quran.
“We will consider managers and teachers for Quranic schools who are Quran reciters or memorizers or are at least well-acquainted with the Quran.”
The official noted that the number of Quranic schools is planned to rise to 5000 in the near future and that these schools, that are only active at elementary level, will be active at the guidance school and high school levels as well.
He went on to say that special regulations have been compiled for studying at Quranic schools, based on which the students in these schools ought to have certain talents and capabilities in Quran memorization and recitation.
