Talawat Quranic Competition Planned
The Dar-ol-Quran Organization will hold a Quranic contest in cooperation with Islamic development departments.
Named Talawat (recitation), the competition aims to foster a Quranic atmosphere in the country and encourage learning Quranic concepts in the society.
It will be held in the categories of memorization, recitation and concepts of the Holy Quran, all three of which will focus on memorizing the Quran.
Just like memorization, in the recitation and Quranic concepts categories, too, the contestants are required to read the designated verses from memory.
According to the Dar-ol-Quran Organization, registration for the national competition will start soon in Islamic development departments in different cities.
