Iranian Qari Holds Quran Recitation Course in Kuwait
Internationally-known Iranian Quran reciter Hamid Shakernezhad taught Quran recitation principles and recited the Holy Quran in different Quranic sessions organized in the month of Sha’ban in Kuwait.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the eminent Qari had been invited by Kuwait's Quran associations to travel to the country on the occasion of Sha’ban Eids.
He instructed Tajweed and Quran recitation principles in an educational course held by Al-e Dashti Association for one week with the participation of 15 Quran reciters and memorizers in various age groups.
Shakernezhad also taught Tarteel recitation principles in an intensive course held for women at Al-Wazzan Mosque.
The Iranian representative recited Holy Quran’s verses at a ceremony held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) in Quds Grand Mosque where Seyyed Adnan Abdul Samad and Saleh Ashur, two members of Kuwait's Parliament and a number of eminent Kuwaiti clerics including Sheikh Hussein Almatouq were also present.
The program began with Quran recitation by Mahmoud Eskafi, Bahraini young Qari and the third-rank winner of the Islamic Republic of Iran's International Quran Competition in 2012.
Sheikh Al Jaber, preacher of Imam Mohammad Baqer (AS) Mosque in Al-Zahra (SA) region was the speaker at the ceremony who talked about the Seerah of Imam Hussein (AS).
Quran recitation by Shaker Nezhad was also well received in other programs held on Sha’ban Eids in various places such as Imam Hassan (AS) Mosque, Friday prayers at Imam Mahdi (AS) Mosque and Dar-ol-Velayah and Al-Balush Husseiniyyahs.
Imam Ali (AS) Center, which is an old Tekyah for Kuwaiti women for holding Quranic courses and religious ceremonies also invited the Iranian Qari.
Diwaniya of Mulla Muhammad Jum’ah, Kuwaiti great Shia figure, and that of Seyyed Hasan Al-Mousawi, head of Seven Associations of the Holy Quran in Kuwait were other centers hosted the Quran reciter for two nights.
Hamid Shaker Nezhad, is the first winner of Tehran International Quran Contest in 2004and the third-rank winner of International Quran Contest in Malaysia in 2005. He is memorizer of 20 Juzes (parts) of the holy Quran and official teacher and Muazzin of Imam Reza’s (AS) Hoy Shrine in Mashhad.
He studied the Holy Quran under Seyyed Mojtaba Sadat Fatemi and succeeded to train Quran activists who have won top ranks at international competitions.
