Iran’s Election, Best Example of Democracy Under the Auspices of Velayat-e Faqih
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Iran’s election was the best manifestation of democracy under the auspices of Velayat-e Faqih (leadership of the Supreme Jurist).
He made the remark in a recent meeting with a number of Hezbollah officials, adding that the election in Iran proved that the Islamic Establishment is on the right path, Al-Safir daily reported.
Nasrallah stated that the outcome of the election was in the interest of Iran and its people.
Turning to the developments in Lebanon, he said the provocations and attacks against Hezbollah and himself would not change the direction of the group.
He said the coming days will prove that Hezbollah’s steps in the past two years, both in Lebanon and Syria, have been the right ones.
Nasrallah also underlined the firm relations and cooperation between Hezbollah and Hamas to confront the regional Fitna (sedition).
Al-Safir further wrote that in order to defuse the massive media onslaught against Hezbollah, the group has allowed its officials to respond to the accusations and clarify the group’s stances about developments in Syria and Lebanon.
