“With God’s blessings, I managed to present a quite good recitation,” Mohammad Mashmoul told IQNA.
He noted that the verses selected for him to recite were from Surah Al-Tawba . It was a rather difficult selection of verses to recite, he said, adding that he had a good recitation nonetheless.
He noted that his main rivals, including the representatives of Malaysia and Egypt have not performed their recitations yet.
Mashmoul said the winners of the competition will be announced on Saturday night, July 6, during the closing ceremony.
He hailed the presence of Quran master Ahmad Abolghassemi in the competition in Malaysia as a guide and adviser to him, saying that master Abolghassemi is a very experienced Quran expert and his presence was very useful.
