Quran & Etrat for Salvation of Entire Humanity
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Quran and Etrat (Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Household) are guidance for the salvation of the entire humanity.
He made the remark in a ceremony held Friday evening, July 5, to inaugurate the 21st International Holy Quran Exhibition. He underlined that speaking about the Quran and Etrat should not be in a way that restricts the two only for a certain group of people.
The president said that mankind’s life has three stages, one before this world, the one in this world and the one in the Hereafter.
He said human beings need two wings to fulfill their main mission, one of them being a plan and the other being a guide and leader.
The Holy Quran provides the plan for man to achieve perfection and materialize all of his aptitudes, he said, adding that man also needs a guide, leader and interpreter of the Quran, an infallible Perfect Human, one who understands the Quran and acts upon it as God wants.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the president praised Muslim society’s efforts in Quranic fields and said there have been many endeavors in the Muslim world in the field of Quranic activities.
He, however, underlined that more attention must also be paid to the second wing, that is the Imam (AS).
Ahmadinejad stressed that the Quran and Imam are God’s best gifts to humanity, adding that human beings will reach salvation and peace when the implement the teachings of the Quran and Imams (AS) in their lives.
He went on to say that the non-divine schools of thoughts are waning in the world and that human beings are unhappy with the material schools and turning toward the truth, that is, the path of God’s messengers, again.
With 40 sections featuring different Islamic and Quranic themes, the 21st edition of Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition will be underway at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) for a month.
