Course on Islamic Principles Underway for French Clerics

An educational course on Islamic principles has been underway for Catholic clerics since July 4 in Orsay, France.
According to Saphir news website, the course is held every year by the Episcopacy for Relations with Islam with the aim of introducing Islam to Christian clerics of the country.
45 clerics from different cities of France have attended the course this year which will continue with discussions on the most recent events in the world of Islam and the influence of the events on relations between Islam and Christianity.
The viewpoints of Christians about Islam, introduction of Islamic principles and teachings of the Holy Quran, introduction of Islamic Shari’ah, Muslims residing in France and the role they can play in the society and the methods for promotion of peaceful coexistence between Muslim and Christian citizens are among the themes of the course.
