The best way to counter unfounded accusations against Shia Muslims is distribution of Quran copies printed in Iran, Culture Minister said.
Speaking to IQNA, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini referred to baseless allegations against followers of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), saying that the enemies of Islam and Shi’ism claim that Shia Muslims have another book instead of the Quran.
He said in order to counter the anti-Shia propaganda of enemies, Quran copies printed in the Islamic Republic of Iran will be distributed in Muslim countries.
He said in the first stage, 1 million copies will be printed and distributed in different countries.
Asked whether it was alright for some publishers in the country to publish the Persian translation of the Quran without the original Arabic, Hosseini said it is against the law and any translation of the Quran should be published along with the original Arabic.
