Speaking to IQNA, Mehdi Qarasheikhlu said that like previous years, the organization has different educational, propagation, memorization and recitation programs.
He said these programs are held in all provinces of the country, noting that some of the provinces have already started implementing them.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in which Muslims fast from dawn to sunset. The Quran was revealed to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) heart in this month.
One of the programs, titled “Quran with Ramadan” includes reciting each of the 30 Juzes (parts) of the Quran each day so that by the end of the month, the entire Quran will have been read, he said.
Qarasheikhlu referred to Quran recitation sessions, Quran interpretation courses and Quran competitions as some other programs the organization plans to implement in the holy month.
He said the second edition of Tasnim Quran competition is one of the Quranic programs held for government employees and their families.
The official went on to say that those willing to take part in the competition should register and compete in the provincial and national stages.
