Abu Dhabi Mosque Announces Ramadan Line-up of Prominent Quran Reciters
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi will host prominent Quran reciters to lead prayers throughout the month of Ramadan.
The mosque will also host nightly religious lectures by Islamic scholars from around the world, according to Wam, the state news agency.
The mosque is also undergoing final preparations for its annual Iftar program, Wam said. The Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi will prepare and deliver 20,000 to 25,000 meals daily for worshippers breaking their fast at the mosque.
The Iftars will be held in Ramadan tents in the mosque's lower gardens.
Tours of the mosque will continue during Ramadan at 10am and 11am, but will not be held on Fridays.
