Spokesman for Bahrain's February 14 revolutionaries, Abdul Raouf al-Shayeb, belives that Al Khalifa is benefiting from the current situation in Syria.
Abdul Raouf al-Shayeb pointed to the current situation in the region and said that Syrian crisis is a plot orchestrated by the West in an attempt to lay the ground for Al-Khalifa regime to exercise more brutality on Shias and Sunnis in Bahrain. He added that mainstream media outlets are also west’s stooges and are trying to divert attention from Al-Khalifa’s crack down on Bahraini people.
Spokesman for Bahrain's February 14 revolutionaries further touched upon the issue of growing tensions and clashes in Bahrain and said, "The tensions will finalize the incomplete revolution as the cruel regime (Al-Khalifa) is hunting people with its claws and fangs”.
The Al Khalifa regime has no legitimacy and the Bahraini people seek the downfall of the regime, al-Shayeb pointed out.
He went on to add that Al-Khalifa regime uses world’s crises as a tool for marginalizing its cruelty and violence and highly benefits from distracting world’s attention.
"Many lives have been sacrificed and people have paid a high price for this revolution. The regime has blood on its hands and can no longer continue”.
He said that people’s protests do not only stem from religious reasons and that people are also fighting for their national identity and rights.
Elsewhere in his interview, secretary general of Bahrain’s February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition referred to use of discrimination by the regime against different religious sects and reiterated, "Undoubtedly, Al-Khalifa is the main enemy of Ahl-ul-Bait (AS) and performs heavy crackdown on the followers of the Household of Prophet (PBUH)”.
He stressed that here in Bahrain law has restricted Shias to get driving license and they [Shias] are deprived of many basic human rights.
He also pointed to the presence of Saudi forces in Bahrain and said getting help from Saudi Arabia in repressing people, shows Al Khalifa desperation and failure in confronting people.
"The presence of Saudi forces in Bahrain is a cruel act of occupation and is in violation of the national sovereignty of a country which should be independent”.
He said the Saudi regime is afraid of movements by the Bahraini nation because the Persian Gulf state’s revolution has spilled over into Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province and people in this area are calling for their rights.
Citing verse 128 of Surah Al-A’raf, "Musa (Moses) said to his people: "Seek help in Allah and be patient.Verily, the earth is Allah's.He gives it as a heritage to whom He will of His servants, and the (blessed) end is for the Muttaqun (pious), he said that true servants of Allah will be the winners.
Al-Shayeb concluded that that Saudi military interference is not confined merely to Bahrain but has also expanded to Yemen and Egypt with the purpose of preventing nations from achieving their goals of enjoying freedom, independence and prevailing against dictatorial regimes.
