Hamid Khorrami told IQNA that 18,000 books featuring religious and Quranic themes have been put on show at the exhibition.
Khorrami, who also heads the Publishers and Booksellers Union of Qom, added that 70 percent of the Iranian publishers taking part in the exhibition are from Qom province and the rest are from provinces like Tehran, Isfahan and others.
The foreign publishers from countries like Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Jordan and Egypt have displayed over 5000 titles, all of which have been published in the past three years, he stated.
He noted that the section has three special segments presenting works featuring the life and character of Amir-al-Muminin Ali (AS), the Islamic Lifestyle and Quranic sciences.
The 21st International Holy Quran Exhibition at Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) welcomes visitors every day from 5 P.M. to midnight until August 5.
