According to the office of public relations and international affairs of the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), Mohammad Hadi Zahedi, head of the organization said that it is the first time that such an exhibition has been organized to showcase precious copies of the Holy Quran.
The copies include translations in German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Azeri, Portuguese, Bosnian, French, Kashmiri, Guajarati, Greek, Millbrae, Uighur, Bengali, Malay, Swedish, Kyrgyz, Hausa, Hindi, Croatian, Korean, Armenian, Urdu, etc.
Zahedi added that the unique collection has been selected from among the foreign books kept at the library of Astan-e Quds Razavi.
Stating that most of the Quran copies presented at the exhibition have been gifted to the library by Dr. Habib Labbaf, he said that the most important translations of the Holy Quran which have been collected at the library include 35 English and 13 French copies.
Besides Quran translations, there are translations of various books in over 90 languages at the library’s Hall of Foreign Books which is one of the richest and the most unique collections of foreign books.
The exhibition hosts visitors every day until August 11.
