Muammel Cultural Institute in India has published a copy of Imam Ali’s (AS) will and distributed it in Lucknow District, Delhi and some other parts of the country.
According to IQNA’s branch in West Asia, Seyyed Menhal Zeydi, teacher of the institute, said that the will was published on July 29 on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of the first Imam of Shia Muslims.
The copy includes 16 advices of the Imam, briefly explained in English and Hindi languages.
In his last will to his sons, Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS), Amir-ul-Mu’menin (AS) advises them to be conscious of Allah and steadfast in their religion.
He continues: “Do not yearn for the world, and do not be seduced by it. Do not resent anything you have missed in it. Proclaim the truth; work for the next world. Oppose the oppressor and support the oppressed.
“I advise you, and all my children, my relatives, and whosoever receives this message, to be conscious of Allah, to remove your differences, and to strengthen your ties. I heard your grandfather, peace be upon him, say: "Reconciliation of your differences is more worthy than all prayers and all fasting."...
The will has been highly received by the Indian society and a large number of citizens have asked the institute to publish and distribute more copies of it.
