Course on Islamic Concepts Underway in Razavi Holy Shrine
A specialized course on Islamic concepts has been held for Arab-speaking pilgrims of Imam Reza's (AS) Holy Shrine during the last days of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the information website of Astn-e Quds Razavi, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Bagheri, director of the Holy Shrine’s Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs announced that the course is being instructed by Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sadeq, eminent Quran expert from Saudi Arabia.
He said that the instructions include “interpretation of Quran by Quran” based on Allameh Tabatabaiee’s method, and “point-based interpretation” as practiced by Hojat-ol-Islam Qara’ati, head of Iran’s Prayers Committee.
Baqeri noted that this is the first time that a course on “point-based interpretation” is being held for Arab-speaking pilgrims of the holy shrine.
In this method of interpretation of the Holy Quran, those verses which are more applicable are selected from the Divine book and discussed, he added.
The director also said that “interpretation of Quran by Quran” was the method undertaken by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in interpreting the Quranic verses.
