Nat'l Quran Recitation Contest Held in Russia
A national Quran recitation contest was held on August 3 in Moscow, the capital city of Russia.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, Russia’s Muftiat Council announced that the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs of the country cooperated with the council to organize the competition.
Roshan Hazrat Abbasov, first deputy of the council, said that Quran reciters from various parts of Russia who had won the provincial stage of the contest attended in Quran recitation and Tarteel categories of the national stage.
Top participants of the contest will compete at an international Quran recitation competition to be held in autumn with the presence of representatives of more than 30 countries in Moscow.
