Speaking to Al-Manar news network, Loran Luis added that the move ran counter to human values and the core principles of the European Union itself.
He said the 2012 bombing in the Bulgarian city of Burgas was an operation planned by the US and Israel in order to put pressure on Hezbollah and setting the ground for blacklisting the resistance group.
Luis regarded the EU decision as disgraceful, underlining a resistance movement can never be considered terrorist because defending one’s land and freedom is among the most fundamental rights of all human beings.
He held all EU members responsible in making the decision to add Hezbollah’s military branch to the list of terror groups.
Asked whether the decision had anything to do with the recent victories of Syrian army over the rebels, the Belgian politician said the Europeans want to deal a blow to Syria and its army that has defeated the Western-backed terrorists.
“What they (Western countries) seek is to destabilize the region so that Israel can spread its influence,” Luis went on to say.
