Quran Reading Session Held in Kabul

On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, a Quran reading session was held today, August 6, in Kabul, Afghanistan.
According to IQNA’s branch in West Asia, the program was organized by Jamiat-ol-Quran of the city in cooperation with Afghanistan’s Supreme Council of Quran.
The mosque of the city hosted the session with the participation of Quran teachers and about 3000 male and female students.
Abbas Hasanzadeh, organizer of the session said that 30 students who were actively involved in Quranic and religious activities during the holy month of Ramadan were honored at the program.
He added that the results of the written section of a Quran contest which was held for 4000 students in the holy month would be announced at the program.
A number of activists in commemorating International Quds Day were also due to be awarded at the session.
He considered the Quranic session as an spiritual session which he expressed hope to have positive influence on the youth and teenagers of the country, promote the Quranic culture among them and lead them towards a Quranic path.
