Terrorists Involved in Assassination of Al-Bouti Arrested
Syria’s Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi said those involved in assassination of Allameh Muhammad Saeed Al-Bouti have been arrested.
Al-Halqi told Al-Mayadin TV network that confessions made by the assassins will be broadcast soon.
Allameh Al-Bouti, who was the head of the Union of Scholars in Levant, was assassinated on March 21 this year when he was praying in Al-Iman Mosque in Damascus.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Al-Halqi referred to the planned Geneva II Conference on Syria and said the United States and some Arab countries are not sincere in their intentions about the conference.
Syria has been the scene of unrest since March 2011 and many people, including large numbers of army and security personnel, have been killed in the turmoil.
