“The World’s Great Mosques” on Display in Bashkortostan

An exhibition of the world’s great and famous mosques has been held from August 6 at Ahmad Zaki Validi National Library in Ufa, the capital city of Bashkortostan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in the country announced that 12 paintings and photos of famous mosques of the world of Islam have been put on display at the exhibition.
Sultan Ahmad Mosque in Turkey, Kuwait’s Great Mosque, Kalon Mosque in Bukhara, Badzhahi Mosque in Pakistan, Bibi Khanum Mosque in Samarkand are among the historical and cultural buildings exhibited at the library.
The given exhibition is only a small part of an extensive collection of the Ufa "25 prophets" mosque. The collection includes about 60 works — photos and picturesque canvases.
The exhibition will underway until tomorrow, August 8.
