The program was held on August 6 with the participation of local officials and Quran experts of the city.
The course was held with more than 180 students who were instructed the principles of recitation of the Holy Quran’s verses.
Top participants of the course, which was held during the holy month of Ramadan, were awarded in the closing ceremony.
The holy month of Ramadan in the United Arab Emirates began in July 10 and The Sharjah Planetarium at the Department of Culture and Information announced that the Shawwal crescent will appear on August 7 at 12.51am and set with the sun, making it difficult to be seen.
It completes the last day of Ramadan (30 days), making August 9 astronomically the first day of Shawwal and the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
