Producer of Sacrilegious Movie Released in US
US officials in a provocative move released the producer of an anti-Islamic movie on Eid Al-Fitr.
According to Al-Alam news network, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula whose film “Innocence of Muslims” desecrated the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) has been released from prison, US justice department’s documents show.
His film drew outrage in the Muslim world and caused demonstrations and protests around the world.
The movie’s release also caused attacks on US interests in different countries. During protests against the film in the Libyan city of Benghazi, US ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other American nationals were killed.
Nakoula is currently on parole somewhere in Southern California and will be free next month.
