Quran Memorization Competition for Women Underway in Mashhad
The 5th edition of a Quran memorization competition for women has been underway in the holy city of Mashhad since mid-July.
According to IQNA’s Khorasan Razavi branch, it has been organized by the Astan (custodianship)of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
It aims at promoting memorization of the Quran and preparing Quran memorizers for provincial and national Quranic contests.
The Quranic event is annually held in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 and 3 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
More than 400 women Quran memorizers took part in last year’s edition of the competition at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
