Speaking to Lebanese Radio, Tarek Mitri added that Libyan officials are willing to determine what happened to Imam Musa Sadr, Libanon Files reported.
He said a Lebanese delegation had previously met with former head of Libyan intelligence service Abdullah Al-Sanusi for five hours but no new information was revealed in the meeting about Sadr’s fate.
This is while Sadr’s sister Rubabeh has recently said she was unhappy with Libyan government’s level of cooperation about the case.
She said Libyan authorities have failed to take serious steps to determine what happened to Imam Musa Sadr.
Imam Musa Sadr and his two companions were kidnapped in August 1978 during an official visit to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to meet with officials from the government of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
They were never heard of again and despite all the efforts to find them. Yet, the Shia world is still hoping to hear about his return.
