Speaking at the press conference of the 3rd Tehran Festival and Exhibition of Computer Games, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini also hoped that an independent market for Islamic computer games be launched.
Managing director of the National Foundation for Computer Games Behrouz Minayi was also present at the press conference, which was held Sunday morning, August 11.
Hosseini underlined the 10th administration’s attention to development of computer games and said organizing a separate festival and exhibition for computer games began in the 10th administration.
He said one of the objectives of the 3rd Tehran Festival and Exhibition of Computer Games was informing families about the enemies’ cultural onslaught through production of computer games.
He stated that many harmful computer games are produced with the aim of spreading Islamophobia and Iranophobia.
The culture minister also said the exhibition and festival is a good opportunity to showcase the accomplishments in computer games.
He added that a number of new computer games including “Awakening” with the theme of Islamic Awakening and the first edition of Hajj education through computer game will be unveiled at the exhibition.
Hosseini went on to say that the 3rd Tehran Festival and Exhibition of Computer Games will start on Tuesday, August 13.
