The opening ceremony will be patronized over by Dr Ali Mohammed, President of Zanzibar, in the presence of secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, state officials, parliamentarians, ambassadors, intellectuals, professors and postgraduate students.
Dr Hamad bin Mohammed al Dhoyani, NRAA’s chairman and Hajj Mohammed Khairi, Minister of Public Administration, Service and Governance in Zanzibar recently held a meeting to discuss issues related to the symposium.
They agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which will allow NRAA to restore manuscripts that date back to the era of the Omani existence in East Africa and the Sultani era in Zanzibar rule.
NRAA will also organize an exhibition in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania from September 9 to 11 to highlight cultural aspects, international relations between Oman and other countries.
