“Journey of No Return” is the title of an anti-Islam movie produced in France.
The movie seeks to fan the flames of Islamophobia in Europe by insisting on baseless illusions about Islam and introduce Muslims as a minority who disrupt social calm and order.
As the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks looms, France Islamophobes say the movie will soon be released in France.
The film is about a criminal gang in Toulouse, France, whose leader joins a seemingly humanitarian but actually radical Islamist group and under the influence of this group carries out terrorist attacks in France.
The movie has already sparked controversies before its official release. A French author writing for “equality and reconciliation” website condemned the movie and described it as a plot by President François Holande and Interior Minister Manuel Valls to present an ugly image of Islam and Muslims in France.
According to the website, François Gérard, the movie’s director, is only 37 and has no experience in filmmaking industry.
Production of Journey of No Return concurrent with the rise in Islamophobic moves in France since the beginning of 2013 demonstrates that there are some hands behind the scene supporting Islamophobia.
While Islamophobes are targeting Muslims, especially Hijab-wearing Muslim women, instead of defending Muslims’ rights, the French officials move in line with these attempts and spread ISlamophobia in society by supporting anti-Islam productions like this movie.
What seems interesting, though, is that despite all of these attempts by Islamophobic groups to portray Islam as a radical religion that advocates violence, there are more and more pure hearts attracted to Islam and its peace-loving and justice-seeking teachings.
The rise of conversion to Islam in France- a country with the largest Muslim minority population in Western Europe- has worried the French officials so much that they try to tighten the grip by introducing more and more restrictions against Muslims under the pretext of safeguarding secularism but such attempts have proven to be incapable of concealing the truth of Islam.
The 97-miniute movie Journey of No Return, which was filmed in France, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Britain and Italy, is to be released in English and French on September 11, 2013.
