Desecration of Quran in Saudi Arabia
Saudi news agencies have reported a case of Quran desecration in the city of Yanba, west of the country.
People walking past the former building of the city’s girls’ college found copies of the Holy Book left in a garbage can near the college, Al-Alam website reported.
The building has recently been evacuated and the company responsible for cleaning it has thrown the copies into the garbage can.
The issue was reported to the city’s Center for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice by one of the passersby.
Photos of this desecrating incident have been posted online by some Saudi websites.
