Normandy Muslim Convention
Muslims living in France’s Normandy will hold their annual convention next month.
According to the umr-online website, the theme of this year’s gathering will be “Under the Auspices of the Quran”.
It will be held on September 14 in the city of Evreux with the participation of prominent Muslim scholars and Muslim citizens.
Abdul-Ali marwan, Abdullah Bin Mansour, Hassan Akhwasan, and Munsif Zeinali will deliver speeches at the program on subjects like acting upon the teachings of the Quran and how to live in non-Muslim countries.
On the sidelines of the event, there will be programs such as Quran memorization and recitation competitions for children and teenagers, and exhibition of Islamic places and an intensive course on Tajweed recitation of the Quran.
The will also be a book fair showcasing Islamic books in French, Arabic and English.
France has the largest Muslim minority in Western Europe. The number of Muslims living in the country is estimated to be around 6 million.
