Attack on Syria Would Draw Crushing Response against US, Israeli Interests
Any military intervention in Syria would draw a crushing response against the interests of the US and Israel.
This is according to senior Lebanese cleric Allameh Sheikh Afif Al-Nablusi who added that US and Israel will face consequences in case of a military attack on Syria, Al-Manar TV reported.
“The United States is wrong to think that there would be no response to its possible military attack. It must realize that the region would be set aflame and its interests would be heavily harmed.”
Allameh Nablusi underscored that any such attack would endanger regional and international security.
“In any case, we believe that the willpower of the Ummah (Muslims) will foil US ploys and thwart all conspiracies.”
The US has threatened to attack Syria accusing the country of using chemical weapons, a charge Damascus vehemently rejects.
